Coaching provides a range of benefits for both leavers and the company:

Listening to Leavers. People being made redundant value having someone to talk to who will listen to them and offer non-judgemental feedback. Many feelings arise and a frustrated or angry leaver may act out these feelings during the redundancy process, 'leaking' negativity into an already tense working atmosphere. A coach can provide a listening ear and help the leaver to discover more positive perspectives on the situation.

Leavers value the opportunity to integrate their circumstances and talk about their feelings as they go through the process. An independent person in the form of a coach is often much more appropriate, and comfortable, than talking to colleagues or a your boss.

Psychometric Career Evaluation. Leavers often value an opportunity to 'take stock' and consider their option going forward. As a qualified Myers-Briggs Assessor with experience of the MBTI in coaching and career management I can help. I also offer other work oriented psychometric instruments as appropriate to the circumstances. Leavers can therefore take the opportunity to consider their options after leaving and begin planning positive steps to take. This positive activity has the side benefit of building acceptance and reducing resentment.

Interim Outplacement Coaching and Services

Many companies are now offering individual outplacement coaching following redundancy. Coaching offers a pro-active and positive focus to redundancy or job change, smoothing the process for leavers and improving morale and performance of remaining staff.

I offer personalised outplacement coaching for executives and managers.
